Orion State School is a P-6 Education Queensland State Primary School which opened in 1964. Today, Orion State School caters to our small community and is a one teacher school full of enthusiastic students eager to learn. Our curriculum is aligned with the National Curriculum and is focused on student improvement.
Orion State School is committed to very high standards in all areas of schooling. The Department of Education is committed to ensuring Queensland children and families have access to a kindergarten program wherever they live. Kindergarten is proudly provided at Orion State School 5 days a fortnight commencing in 2022. We offer an approved kindergarten program delivered by a qualified teacher to children who are at least four years old by 30 June in the year they start the program.
